Ugliest Card I've Ever Seen

I made this card for the card sketch challenge over at From C to Shining C. I also had a challenge of my own going on. I had some cardstock that I thought was just awful and wanted to do something with it to change my opinion of it. Well, I got out the fancy ribbon, the glittery embossing powder, a Prima flower and even a rhinestone and it's still the ugliest card I've ever seen! But at least I'm willing to own up to it. I don't even care enough about it to put a sentiment on it. If anyone reading this has the opposite opinion of mine please say so, or you can post that you agree with me. Trust me it won't hurt my feelings.

Little Graduate

Marlee's pre-School graduation was last night. She has "graduated" from the 3 year old class which was two days a week and next school year she'll go for 3 days a week. It's a great program at a local church and she really has fun learning and playing with other kids her age. The teachers there are superb and they did a fantastic job putting together the event. All the different grades (3's, 4/5's and pre K) performed a couple of songs and then received their diplomas. I'd love to post the pics from it but it's not cool to show pictures of other peoples kids on the internet without their permission.

A Masculine Birthday Card

I made this birthday card for my Dad. It's pretty simple but, I wanted to keep it masculine and there's not too much you can do in the way of embellishments for a "manly" card!

The card stock is from my Imaginisce Card Kit Pad. I punched the edge with my Fiskars lattice border punch. The mat is also from the card kit. I stamped a little dot detail in the corners with a Studio G stamp and lime ink. I used that same lime ink to color the inside edge of the card so it would show through the lattice edging. I added a ribbon so it wouldn't be too plain and it matches some of the colors in the background paper along with the circles.I painted a piece of fancy shaped chipboard that I just got in the mail last week (an envelope full of them was my prize for the Double Dog Dare You blog challenge) and I stamped Happy Birthday with blue ink and a Studio g stamp on it.
The Imaginisce Card Pad Kit is available in my web store.

More Mother's Day Cards

Here's a few cards I made for Mother's day.

I made this one for my Mom. I used my new Imaginisce Card Pad Kit for the cardstock. I embossed the edge of the card and the flower stem with the Cuttlebug "Just My Type" borders folder. I colored the stem embossing green with a Sharpie. The flower and leaves are Prima and the button and ribbon are from my stash. This is a card I made for my mother-in-law.I just used white cardstock for the background and inked the edges with a yellow stamp pad. The sunflower is Prima and the center of the flower is "sunflower" Dew Drops. For the stem I used a sizzix sunflower die and just snipped off the flower. I stamped each corner with a tiny leaf and added a dew drop for a little extra bling.

This last card I made for my Aunt Diann. She's always been my "other" mother and spoils my daughters like they are her grand daughters. For this card I used the very versatile Imaginisce Card Pad Kit for the background cardstock. The mat and sentiment is also from the kit I just jazzed it up a little with some chalk shading. The flowers are Prima and the centers are Dew Drops.

The Imaginsice Card Pad Kit, Cuttlebug folders, Prima flowers and Dew Drops are available in my store.

Double Dog Dare You Challenge

OK the challenge today at Bethany's blog is to visit a gallery or blog and scraplift something. I'm not sure if this counts as a scraplift but it was inspired by another blog. I made this layout from a sketch over at ScrapSketch. Here's my take on sketch #35. My photography skills aren't showing too well on this one, sorry. I've been behind on my pages, so It's nice to get some inspiration from blog challenges.
The paper is DCWV Christmas Stack, the flowers and leaves are Prima and the "berries" and flower centers are Dew Drops (Primas and Dew Drops are available in my store)

Mother's Day Card

I'm taking a risk that my Grandma will see this post before I get to give her this card. But I haven't posted any projects in a while and was eager to get something on here.

I made this card with my new Card Pad Kit from Imaginsice. It's a pretty simple card. I selected the patterned cardstock, embossed it with my Swiss dots Cuttlebug folder, added the mat (which comes in the kit) inked the edges a little (I hate seeing the white edges from cut paper) stamped the little lady bug and flower on the mat and colored them in, then wrote the sentiment.

I glued on a piece of light pink satin ribbon and added some Prima flowers with Dew Drop centers to the corner of the mat.

The inside reads "Happy Mother's Day" which was a clear sticker included in the kit.
