My eyes felt good enough today to play along over at From C to Shining C card sketch challenge. I am a day late, but better late than never!
Yes, I scanned it in crooked!
The background paper is Bazzill cardstock in dark brown, the patterned papers are from the DCWV prints mat stack. I used a paper studio encouraging words stamp with green studio g ink and some green ric rak from my stash. Nothing too fancy today.

Blog Award
I was given this blog award from my very sweet bloggin friend Brenda. I think it's a great feeling when the people that blog with you also consider you their friend! I haven't been much of a blogger lately as my eyes just can't take too much screen time yet. So, I'm going to have a lot of catching up to do, visiting my "friends" blogs.
Here are the rules for this award: To pick up the Circle of Friends Blog Award cut and paste the award logo and use it on your own blog. Nominate 5 other bloggers you feel have become part of your circle of friends. Link to your nominees within your blog post. Include these instructions on how to pick up the award in your blog post. Link back to the person who gave you the award in your blog post, to show your appreciation. Comment on their blogs to let them know they've received the award. So, while it may be hard for me to only pick five (since I consider so many of you my friends)I will give this award to...

Back to Vacation Layouts
Yes, I'm still working on our vacation pages from our trip to Tennessee back in June.
This page features Marlee and some of her beautiful pictures while in the mountains.
Clicking on the photo will open it larger.
The details:
Paper is DCWV Blossoms and Butterflies and Sweet Stack, The cuts were all made on my Cricut with the Home Decor cartridge, The flowers and leaves are Prima and the centers are Dew Drops. I added some glitter to the heart cut and some pearl embossing powder to the star. The satin ribbon is from my stash. The journaling is hidden behind the lower picture (the flowers are on the tab of the tag)
The Primas, Dew Drops and Cricut products are all available in my store.

Another All Purpose Card
I've been really cranking out the cards lately! I wanted to get in as much crafting as possible before my eye surgery has me down and out for a while (no computer :( )
I just bought some images from Lily Boo's boutique thanks to some unintentional enabling from Enfys(she on their DT) and Eileen (she's convinced me to try digi stamps). I've colored several already and here's a card I made with one of them:
The back ground paper is from the Imaginisce build a card pad. The ribbon is from Pebbles Inc. the red flower is Prima and the stamp is Scrappy Cat. I colored the image with my pencils and OMS.

All Occasion Cards
I've been making some cards lately not because I needed them to give away, but just because the paper or stamp inspired me.
This card was inspired by the paper, it's from the DCWV stack Butterflies and Blossoms. It's a simple card but will serve whatever purpose I need it to later.
The other papers are DCWV solid card stock, prima Signs of Spring hot pink hounds tooth and the yellow (which is covered in studio G glitter glue) is the reverse of the pink. I used a grosgrain ribbon and the stamp is Stampin up! The dainty little flower is Prima (which is available in my store)
The first picture is a scanned image of the card and matching envelope front. The second photo I took out side so you could see how the card is made from a clear transparency and the inside of the envelope is lined to match.
This card was inspired by both the paper (DCWV Blossom and Butterflies stack) and the purse stamp from Unity stamps.
I embossed the clear transparency with my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder, I cut the scalloped square out on my Cricut with SCAL, I added some pink fibers for a more fun look then placed my stamped and cut out purse over the fibers with some pop dots. The purse is stamped with Studio g ink and I put a little bit of glitter on the heart. The envelope is made from solid pink card stock and I stamped the purse on the front of it as well (got the idea from the Pink Stamper) then I lined the inside with the matching paper from the front.
The Cuttlebug embossing folders and Prima Flowers are available in my store along with many Cricut supplies.

My ATG
Kevin and the girls got me an ATG for my birthday (they just didn't know it) I have been wanting one for a while thanks to all the enablers on the message boards :) I ordered it last week and it arrived yesterday. I spend last night spray painting it blue (because I don't like red at all) and then when it was dry this morning I decorated it. *OK let's face it, that's the real reason I wanted an ATG, not to save on adhesive, but so I could alter it!
Here's a before photo (stock photo):
And here is my ATG after (Kevin says I bedazzled it!)
I had to masked off everything I didn't want to be blue. I added rub-ons (which are glittery but don't show well in the photos) stamped the word Dream with opaque white Staz-on (which doesn't show well either) and I added light blue rhinestones in a swirl pattern on one side and a star burst pattern on the other side and a little on the handle. I haven't even had a chance to use it on a project yet. In fact I just loaded the tape right before I took the photos.

Happy Birthday
To ME!!!!
Yes I am the big 3-0 today. I am not mourning the loss of my twenties, really it's no big deal. I Love celebrating my birthday. After all, someone once said "Birthdays are good for you, the more you have the longer you live!" I just love that quote.
So I'm going to have some sort of giveaway for my birthday, just not sure what yet. Probably something for one of my followers. I'll randomly pick a winner from my list no need to enter.
Enjoy your day , I sure will!!!

Card Sketch Challenge #12
Here's a card I made for the challenge over at From C to Shining C (clicking on the words will take you there). It's a little late, the challenge is held on Wednesdays and I just got around to doing mine.
I used the following papers (listed from background to foreground) DCWV green card stock, DCWV stack 5 stripes, Bazzill card stock tomato, Prima Signs of Spring orange hounds tooth, Bazzill card stock rust. The stamp is from the paper studio encouraging words collection and the ribbon is from my stash. Oh, the bracket shape was cut on my Cricut with SCAL. I downloaded the best set of dingbats for it from this fabulous blog Clever Someday (clicking on the words will take you right to it!)
You can get the entire Prima Signs of Spring double sided paper collection for FREE just by purchasing $20 worth of Prima products from either of my stores (web or ebay)

Another Vacation Layout
I wish I was faster at getting these layouts done. It seems like it was such a long time ago that we even went on vacation! I guess because I've been pretty busy since we got back, that it's taking me a while to get them done. I've got them all done in my head, if only I could show you what they look like :)
This one is of our trip to Ripley's Aquarium. I can't say it enough, if you go to the Smoky Mountains, you really should visit the aquarium too. The girls loved it (the adults did too)! Any way, back to the details: The background paper is from the Paper Studio 180 pack, the cardstock is stuff I have on hand (can't remember the brand but I got it at Sam's club) I used my Cricut and Design Studio for the title (Opposites Attract for lettering and Stretch Your Imagination for the turtle) I outlined the title with my Cricut markers first, then I cut out the design. If you would like the .cut file or further instruction on how I did this please send me an email, I'd be happy to share. The other turtle on this page was done with the Life is a Beach cartridge. I jazzed it up with some Studio G glitter glue. The rest of the glitter on the page is Stickes. I dressed up the edges of all the photo mats with my Fiskar's wave edge punch. I added water color Dew Drops to look like bubbles.

Cricut items and Dew Drops are available from me, in my store.

Card Sketch Challenge #11
This first card I made is for the card sketch challenge over at From C to Shining C.
I used Bazzill cardstock, the fibers are from my stash, the sentiment is a rub on from American Crafts and the chipboard flower is from my stash. I inked the edges of the smaller square so it stands out a little from the blue in the larger square. I embossed the bottom strip of paper with my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder.
I then made this card with some of the scraps I had left from the challenge card.
The turtle was cut on my Cricut with the Stretch Your Imagination cartridge. He was a leftover from a scrapbook page I had been working on and I gave him a little google eye for a fun effect. The water edge was punched with my Fiskars wave border punch and then I lightly inked the edge with my studio G blue ink. The sentiment was stamped with a studio G stamp and ink.
It's July!
