Marlee's Tea Party

Here's a two page layout I've been working on for about a week. I finally got it finished, thanks to some new beautiful Primas I just got in the store. Marlee decided to host a tea party one weekend when her Grandma, Great Grandma (known as GG) and Aunt Diann came to visit.

It didn't photograph as well as I would have liked it to but I couldn't take the picture outside today because of the super gust of winds. Maybe I'll be able to get a better photo tomorrow. If you click on the picture it will enlarge it.
The details are pretty long so stick with me ;)
The background paper is DCWV Nana's Kitchen, the photo mats are DCWV Sweet Stack cut out with my Cricut and SCAL scalloped ovals. The title is Prima Signs of Spring paper cut on my Cricut with SCAL "Missed Your Exit" font (I also used that font for the computer printed journaling) The cute little tea set was cut on my Cricut with the Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge, I shaded the edges with Pebbles pastel pink chalk and stamped the flower pattern on the larger pieces, then I attached them with pop dots for more dimension. The flowers and leaves are Prima. For the centers of the flowers I used both Dew Drops (island blossom) and the Prima Pearls and Crystals collection(light pink).
Click on the highlighted words for direct links to those products in the store. If you'd like to brows our new Prima products and all the other great goodies visit Your Memories Here. I almost forgot to mention, ANY purchase over $50 gets you free shipping in my store!

Card Sketch Challenge #22

Here's my card for the Wednesday challenge over at From C to Shining C. I had it done on time yesterday, but I had to wait for the Stickles to dry before I could take a picture of it, then I forgot. But here it is now :)

I used just regular purple card stock for the background and all the patterned paper is from the DCWV Fall stack (last year's) The candy is an Imaginisce stamp that I colored with my sharpies and then added some Stickles (aren't they pretty?) the "Trick or Treat" is a studio g stamp.
You can get the Imaginisce Candy stamp at Your Memories Here for only $0.75 Now that's a treat!

More from Marlee's Birthday

I'm a posting slacker, I know. Marlee's birthday was Monday and if you read Monday's post you know that I was making some treat to take to school for her class.Well here it is, I made the kids dirt cups complete with worms :)
Yes, they tasted as good as they look. Needless to say Mrs. Byers is a BIG hit at Little Shepherd's pre-school. If you want the recipe just email me I'd be glad to share it with you.
I also made Marlee a Snow White birthday card because that's her current, favorite Princess. She'll tell you she loves them all but there's always the on she likes best. It started with Cinderella, then Sleeping Cutie (as she called her) now Snow White. I'll let you know when it changes:)

This card also happens to fit the Just Buggin' challenge for layered diecuts. The Disney characters are a bit elaborate, but I already did the work so I might as well get credit for it?
I use Cricut Design Studio to layout all the pieces so I knew just where to place my colors of card stock. She's cut at 7" and this made a 6"x8" card. Pretty nice size. There was enough room to add some Prima flowers and a swatch of velvet ribbon (got to be extra girly for Marlee). The back ground card stock is DCWV Blossoms and Butterflies Stack 'cuz Marlee LOVES flowers and butterflies. Marlee's name shows up horribly in the photo, I used my Cricut and Cricut markers to "draw" her name then added glittery embossing powder to make it sparkle ( I tried Stickles first, but couldn't get a fine enough line). I also dusted Snow White's dress with some Pebbles shimmer chalk but it doesn't show in the photo.

Bubbles

This here's an oldie but goodie :) I've had the photos printed for over a year now but just got to finish this page yesterday! The main reason I was able to finish it was inspiration from my new Cricut cartridge Every Day Paper Dolls. I bought the cartridge on a whim, not even sure if I needed it, but when I got to looking at all the "extras" it has (just like the original Paper Dolls) I was sooo glad to have been enable by the Cricut MB :)

The bubbles cut came from this cartridge, as soon as I saw it I remembered those pictures of the girls stashed in my room. The actual title word "Bubbles" was cut using SCAL for the font. I cut the bubbles out of silvery vellum and then I colored them with my Pebbles pearlescent shimmer chalk to give it the iridescent look of soap bubbles. The title and photo mats were cut out of some white iridescent paper from Hobby Lobby. I chalked the title edges with pink and the photo mats with an array of colors for more of that iridescent soap look.
The little bubbles are actually dew drops in an assortment of pale colors (lily pad, orchid and island blossom) The little clip on the photo says "cherish". It's from the ATB inspirational words clip and clipper set. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, the background paper is DCWV metallic stack.
You can get the dew drops, Pebbles chalks, ATB clips and clipper tool and Cricut necessities all in my web store Your Memories Here
Clicking on the photos will make them larger.

Aqua is the Color of the Day

I made a couple of cards for some challenges today and they are both aqua! I guess I'm just in the mood to use aqua?
The first card is for the BBTB challenge. This weeks challenge is to use the gift from the Pooh and friends cartridge. I used my Cricut Design Studio to weld two gifts together to make a gift card holder.

I used lots of Stickles on this for some extra special sparkle. The inside is simple, I just cut four slots to slide a gift card into (some luck person is going to get my Kroger Plus card!! he he, I crack myself up)
This next vision in blue is a multi-tasker. I made it for the Card Sketch Challenge over at From C to Shining C. Eileen hosted the challenge today, if you'd like to see the sketch and take a peek at her version just click her name (it will take you to her blog).
I'm so excited that the NEW Cuttlebug embossing folders came in today!! I used the Pop Culture embossing border on this one (the diamonds across the top) They are already listed in my store so go get you some!
Don't you just love those little dangling pom poms? I've been dying to use them they are Fancy Pants. The flower is a Prima and I used a water color dew drop for the center. The papers (except the vellum) are all DCWV. It's kinda hard to tell but the background is from the Glitter Stack. The sentiment is an American Crafts rub-on and it leave this card open to all sorts of giving possibilities.

My Little Pony Card

I made this card for my friend's daughter. I don't know if she's a fan of My Little Pony, but most little girls like them and it just made for a cute card.

I got the svg file from a blog, but I can't seem to find the link, sorry (I'll look for it later, I know she's a member of the Cricut MB)
I used DCWV Sweet Stack for the card (I've been using it a lot lately) I cut out the words with my Cricut and SCAL then I added glossy accents to give them some depth and shine. I also added Stickles to the pony cut because you can never have enough glitter :)

Chocolate Cupcakes

This page is the result of a new stack of paper and two messy little girls who happen to love chocolate (who doesn't?) Clicking on the photo will make it larger.
When I get a new pack of paper I'm just dying to make something with it and the DCWV Sweet stack has all those yummy papers in it. I remembered that I had a couple of pictures of the girls enjoying some chocolate cupcakes early this summer (I actually took the picture to show Nana how much of a mess they made with her cupcakes!)
Cupcakes were quite a big thing in crafting this year, so I had plenty to work with.
The background paper and the photo mats are from the DCWV Sweet Stack, I punched the bottom of the mats with my MS doily punch. The adorable cupcake was cut on my Cricut with the Home Decor Solutions cartridge. I cut out the the journaling square with my George cartridge and then embossed it with my Cuttlebug Swiss dots folder and layered some vellum on top. I embellished the vellum with some paper floss, a button, and some Studio G stamps.

The title letters were cut on my Cricut with the Mickey Font cartridge in regular and shadow and then layered, then I added glossy accents to make them all thick and shiny (kinda looks like the Thickers stickers)
You can find the Cricut Home Decor cartridge in my store along with other Cricut necessities.
If you'd like to win a Cricut cartridge visit my design team blog Your Memories Here Designs, all you have to do is become a follower, if we reach 200 followers by Midnight tonight, I'll give away a Cricut cartridge. So spread the word!

Card Sketch Challenge #20

Here's my card for the From C to Shining C challenge. My dear friend Stephanie was the hostess this week, if you'd like to see what she came up with and her original sketch click on her name.

For this card I used purple card stock for the base, added DCWV Fall stack patterned paper. The ribbon is from Hobbly Lobby and the sentiment (Happy Halloween) is a studio G stamped with Staz-on jet black. The candy stamp is from Imaginisce and it's called Hallowhimsy Candy, I stamped it with Momento tuxedo black and colored it in with my Sharpies. If you like that candy stamp you can get it in my store http://www.yourmemorieshere.com/ or you can visit my design team blog for a chance to win it.

Happy Birthday Mom!

Today is my Mom's birthday, her card is already in the mail and hopefully she'll get it on time today!

I've been so busy lately with the Design Team blog and Marlee's going back to school, the Grand Re-Opening sale at www.YourMemoriesHere.com, a ton of birthdays coming up in September (including Marlee and Lilee's which means party planning) I just haven't had much time to post. I have been working on some layouts and I did make a couple of teacher gifts that I hope to get posted soon. I couldn't let the day go by without posting a Happy Birthday to my Mom, no matter how busy I get.
